PREFERENCE OF THE WORLD "TURKISH PLASTICS INDUSTRY"

Plastic production has a very high potential in Turkey. In 2016, this potential has been demonstrated by exporting plastic products to 205 countries. In 2016, the Turkish plastics industry produced 8.9 million tons and 33.8 billion dollars of production. Production increased by 3.5% on a quantity basis, by 3% on a value basis compared to the year 2015. Approximately 4.95 million tons of 8.9 million tons of plastic domestic consumption is exported indirectly in the form of semi-finished products and finished products such as automotive, packaging, construction and electronics, while the remaining 3.95 million tons is exported directly to the domestic market consumed.
 
In addition to high exports of plastic products, investment in machinery equipment was $ 880 million in 2016, up 5% from 2015. In the period of 2012-2016, an average of 821 million dollars of machinery and equipment investment has been realized in the plastics industry, 37% of total investment is made by presses and other machines, 23% by injection, 19% by extrusion, 4% by thermoform, 2% of them inflated and 15% made parts and parts.

Plast Eurasia İstanbul, which has a great value both domestic and abroad and which is the largest plastics industry fair held every year in Europe, welcomed 5116 foreign visitors from 84 countries in 2016 and 957 company and company representatives from 41 countries participated in the fair.
