Brass (Yellow) Sieve Wires

Brass wire mesh offers low abrasion resistance but high tensile strength. This is due to the use of copper wire. Its chemical composition is an alloy of copper and zinc (copper content 60%-70%). Brass wire mesh can be soldered with lead or silver solder, which produces good results. Brass is readily affected by atmospheric conditions and is not suitable for use in saltwater and liquid environments. (K316 stainless steel is most suitable for saltwater and liquid environments because stainless steel has a lower electrical conductivity than brass.)
