MESSAGE FROM BÜLENT ÜNAL, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TÜYAP

Dear Industry Representatives,

PLAST EURASIA, the most comprehensive gathering that shapes the plastics industry in the Eurasia region and now in its 34th edition, continues to strengthen its global position with each passing year. It is a distinct source of pride for us to organize this significant event—sharing the production power and innovation capacity of the global plastics industry with all stakeholders—together with PAGEV, the umbrella organization of the sector, under a shared vision and sense of responsibility for so many years.

This year’s fair welcomes a record number of exhibitors: 1,500 companies and representatives from 45 countries, who will meet with more than 70,000 expected multinational visitors from 115 countries. I wish all participants a productive fair period that meets their expectations.

The prominent role our fairs play today is the result of the strong collaboration we have built with all institutions leading the transformation of the industry. Sustainability, circular economy, efficiency, digitalization—these are no longer issues of the future, but essential priorities of today. At TÜYAP, we consider it our duty not to remain outside this transformation but to lead it. With this awareness, continuous improvement and development are at the core of our approach to all our fairs.

This year, we have also ushered in a new era in the corporate identity of our fair. With a renewed identity that more powerfully reflects the vision of PLAST EURASIA and blends the industry’s innovative spirit with a modern visual language, we present ourselves once again to the sector.

The redesigned identity is a step that emphasizes our messages around sustainability, technology, production transformation, and global interaction—strengthening our international perception while highlighting our strategic role in the Eurasia region.

At TÜYAP, our goal is to organize a pioneering fair that continually renews itself, is open to change and progress, follows and integrates the current topics shaping the industry, and meets the evolving needs of the sector. To this end, we continuously update our fair infrastructure and business model.

With investments in energy efficiency, carbon reduction practices, waste management, and operational sustainability, we have become a fairground recognized as a benchmark in international standards. Today, carrying the title of Türkiye’s first zero-carbon-emission fairground is not only a milestone for us but also for the entire industry.

Türkiye’s plastics sector holds a strong global position not only with its production capacity but also with its technology investments and export performance. Being one of the largest producers in Europe indicates our increasingly significant role in the global supply chain. Knowing that the fair we have organized shoulder-to-shoulder with PAGEV for 34 years contributes to this success is a motivation for us all.

This year, the strong international interest and high visitor demand at PLAST EURASIA have been particularly gratifying. The fair’s growing global visibility and its prestige among industry professionals further reinforce our international brand value.

The promotional efforts carried out by TÜYAP’s domestic and international offices, representatives, media partners, and extensive marketing network are among the key factors behind this successful outcome.

At TÜYAP, we aim not only to facilitate business connections for our exhibitors but also to provide a comfortable, enriching fair experience. In this regard, we are introducing an exciting new feature at this year’s edition of Plast Eurasia.

Through the “Plastics Days” event series, we are launching a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and interaction, bringing together leading experts and industry professionals.

The first session of this series—sponsored by TÜYAP—was the 18th PAGEV Turkish Plastics Industry Congress, held on December 2, 2025, at Tüyap Palas under the theme “Innovation, Technology, and Circular Markets for a Responsible Industry: Shaping the Future of Plastics.”

Another topic we greatly value at TÜYAP is contributing to the education and employment of younger generations. Within this fair, as part of Plastics Days, we will hold the first session of our new series, TÜYAP Career Route, which will vary according to the industries of our fairs.

This session will feature speakers from TÜYAP management, academia, and Plast Eurasia exhibitors to discuss “Emerging Technologies and New Competencies in the Plastics Industry.”

Sustainability, circular economy, and the associated regulations and certification processes constitute the core agenda of the Plastics Days program.

Furthermore, by telling our Plast Eurasia exhibitors “The Stage is Yours!”, we also provide a platform for them to present their value-added products and innovative technologies directly to industry professionals.

What pleases us most at this point is the strong relationship of trust we have built with PAGEV—a partner whose support we deeply feel on this journey of development and transformation. As we prepare for next year’s fair, the 35th edition, we have already begun our work with the same determination and shared goals.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to PAGEV President Mr. Yavuz Eroğlu, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, and the entire PAGEV team for their contributions and collaboration.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders, participants, visitors, and the dedicated members of the TÜYAP family who add value to the plastics industry.

I respectfully greet everyone and look forward to meeting again at PLAST EURASIA, December 2–5, 2026.
