 The Plast Eurasia Istanbul Has Officially Kicked Off, Unveiling a World of Possibilities for the Future in Plastic Sector!
 
The Plast Eurasia Istanbul has commenced its 33rd edition, providing a platform to explore the dynamics of the plastic industry and to showcase sustainable innovations. Hosted at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, this event convenes key stakeholders from the industry and presents cutting-edge solutions.
 
The Plast Eurasia Istanbul fair, organized in cooperation with the Tüyap Exhibitions Group and the Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation (PAGEV), is a prominent event within the plastics industry. Now in its 33rd iteration, the fair is being held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center from December 4 to 7. This significant event serves as a critical platform for showcasing innovative technologies, a wide array of product categories, and sustainability solutions within the industry. This year’s event is anticipated to feature over 1,607 exhibitors and draw in excess of 70,000 industry professionals, underscoring its significance in the plastics landscape.

The fair will feature an extensive selection of product categories, including machinery for plastics, equipment, molds, recycling technologies, raw materials, and chemicals. Participants from Germany, Denmark, Iran, Russia, Italy, Poland, China, and Spain will once again present their offerings at this premier plastics industry fair, recognized as the largest event in the Eurasian region.

During his address at the opening ceremony of the fair, Mr. İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager, Tüyap Fuarlar Yapım A.Ş, remarked: “This year, our fair reaffirmed its critical role on the international stage, notably characterized by a significant increase in international exhibitors, positioning this event in a distinctive and exceptional standing within the global arena for Türkiye. The participation of companies from key markets, including America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, underscores the international appeal of our sector. It is a profound honor to host globally recognized leaders alongside major producers from Türkiye. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our business partners, exhibitors, and supporters for their invaluable contributions to this achievement”.

During his address at the opening ceremony of the Plast Eurasia Istanbul, Yavuz Eroğlu, the President of the Turkish Plastics Industrialists’ Research, Development and Education Foundation, stated: “This year, our exhibition has evolved into a platform that captivates that not only engages the Turkish market but also prominent investors from across the globe. The active engagement of high-level delegations from China and India in exploring joint investment opportunities in Türkiye underscores our country’s industrial strength and the potential for cooperation. The Turkish plastic sector continues to lead the region, characterized by its strong industrial infrastructure and global transactional ability. We are fully prepared to engage in diverse collaborations and ventures aimed at advancing this sector. Our objective is to position Türkiye as a global hub in the plastic and machinery industries”.
 
Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the international caliber of the exhibition in his opening remarks, stating: “This exhibition distinctly showcases the industrial strength and global collaborative potential of Türkiye. Notably, the increased participation of foreign exhibitors underscores the progress our sector has made on the world stage”.

Mr. Mahmut Gürcan, the Deputy Minister of Trade, highlighted the significance of the fair for the Turkish economy during his address, stating: “The plastic industry occupies a critical position within our country’s industrial framework and export capabilities. This event provides a significant platform to enhance the position of the Turkish plastic industry in global markets and to promote domestic production”.

Su Donging, the Vice President of CPMIA, expressed their appreciation for the potential of the fair to enhance international cooperation and foster connections across different sectors.

Surpassing its previous records each year, Plast Eurasia Istanbul will take place in the newly inaugurated Hall 12A. In partnership with the Tüyap Exhibitions Group and PAGEV, this event has become an essential milestone for the plastics sector, addressing both commercial advancements and technological innovations. With a plethora of innovations and solutions that are influencing the trajectory of the plastics industry, this extensive gathering will convene industry professionals from Türkiye and around the globe for a duration of four days.

In addition to engaging with new exhibitors in Hall 12A, visitors will find a designated café area that provides comprehensive information on bioplastics. In this space, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy their coffee served in recyclable cups.
