Multi-nozzle injection moulds

Multi-nozzle moulds are injection moulds equipped with more than one injection nozzle and running in combination with a Cold Runner Block (CRB). With this technology, the rubber is transferred from the press into the thermally insulated CRB, where it is maintained at a relatively low temperature to prevent premature vulcanization. The rubber is then injected from the CRB into the heathed mould through a system of nozzles, each feeding one or more cavities simultaneously. Vulcanisation takes place within the heathed mould. This system is particularly suitable for high-volume production and entails a reduction in material waste and production cycle times.
