The Plast Eurasia Istanbul exhibition, one of the most significant gatherings in the plastics sector, reaffirmed its prominence on the international stage this year. Held at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, the event achieved remarkable success, attracting a total of 75,239 visitors. Among these, 62,857 visitors were local attendees, while 12,382 were international participants, marking a notable 30% increase in the number of visitors from Europe. Attendees from 114 countries further underscored the fair’s global significance.

Co-organized by the Tüyap Exhibition Group and the Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation (PAGEV), The Plast Eurasia Istanbul trade show highlighted the dynamics of the plastics industry. In its 33rd edition, held from December 4 to 7, the event featured 1,606 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and fostering significant collaborations across the industry. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a wide array of the latest products and solutions in plastics machinery, equipment, molds, recycling technologies, and bioplastics.

The plastic sector’s contribution to Türkiye’s national economy consistently increases each year, significantly influencing the country’s economic growth. Over the past decade, the plastics industry in Türkiye has outpaced Gross National Product (GNP) growth, demonstrating robust annual development. This expansion has propelled Türkiye to become the second-largest plastics producer in Europe and sixth-largest globally. For over 33 years, the Plast Eurasia Istanbul Fair has consistently operated without interruption, cultivating a robust global trading ecosystem in the plastics industry.

This event also featured a procurement committee comprising professional buyers from 25 different countries.
