PP

PP is a semi-rigid, transparent, easily shaped, and economical polymer produced by polymerizing propylene using a ZIEGLER-NATTA catalyst. Atactic, isotactic, and syndiotactic PP with different properties can be prepared. Isotactic PP has a glass transition temperature of -10°C and a melting point of 160°C. PP has good chemical resistance but is damaged by chlorine, nitric acid, and other strong oxidants. While resistant to visible stains, UV rays damage the surfaces of PP materials. It is incinerateable but burns slowly. It is non-toxic. It has good thermal insulation properties that can be modified accordingly.
