Hydrocarbon resin is thermoplastic resinsproduced by the thermal cracking of naphtha and the polymerisation of diolefins.lt is used as a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tackifier and as a binder for hot melt (HMA) road marking paints, and has balanced(PSA) characteristics, good adhesive strength and cohesive strength.
