The Outer Sheath is the insulator that comes after the core(s) coated on each insulated conductor of the cable. Sheath insulation is the outermost sheath used to protect cables from external factors. Insulating, flexible and impact resistant raw materials such as PVC Compound are used to prevent various external damages to the cables. It is generally used as an insulation material in cable types (cord) produced for the lighting industry and in household natural gas pipes.
