Geogrids are made by extruding high-molecular polymers into thin sheets, punching holes, and then stretching them longitudinally, laterally, in three directions, or in multiple directions. They possess extremely high tensile strength in the stretching direction. This structure can form an effective force-bearing and diffusion chain system in the soil, and is suitable for reinforcing large-area permanent-bearing foundations, such as the reinforcement of various dams and roadbeds, slope protection, cave walls, large airports, parking lots, docks and cargo yards.
