avathane® Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPUs) are block copolymers composed alternating elastomeric soft and rigid hard blocks which are covalently bonded via urethane linkages. Due to the vast number of available starting materials, so many different TPU formulations with very broad material properties can be produced, ranging from soft rubbery elastomers to very rigid and tough engineering polymers.
