OPTICAL BRIGHTENER

They are additives that make polymers appear whiter and brightier. Two types are commonly used in the ındustry. These are Optical Brightener OB and Optical Brightener OB1. Optical Brightener OB: It is in the form of white powder and is greenish yellow in color. It melts above 200 degrees. It is pale and tasteless and soluble in most organic solvents. It shows a good polishing effect and gives resistance to abrasion. Optical Brightener OB1: İt is appearance is greenish powder and melts above 359 degress. It shows a significant resistance to high temperature. This brightener is preferred in polyster,nylonfiber and all kinds of plastic applications. It is frequently used in high temperature plastics such as PC,PA and PET.
